I Belong to You/You Belong to Me

Planning is my passion and I am extremely proud of all the conferences and events I have had the opportunity to execute, but not one compares to planning the one day that will last in my heart forever.

So, I begin my blog of everything to do with event design with my wedding.
From past experience, I have an active realization of just how expensive weddings can be, so when it came to planning our own we kept it small and simple, but extremely personal-- not to mention the fact that I was limited to just a month to plan our day-- simple was essential.

Jack,
I remember saying very early on that my life would be happy and complete if I was able to have you in it everyday. At the time, I meant it in a friendship sense, but now I know I just loved you from the beginning.

The last year has brought all kinds of challenges, but each day the one thing I looked forward to was working by your side, chatting endlessly and doing anything possible to make you laugh in the way that lights up your entire face and makes you clasp your arms around your sides—the arms that once they wrapped around me, I knew I would never let them let go.

I promised you then that I would never hurt you and I mean that even more now. You are my best friend, the one I look forward to snuggling myself asleep with, and look forward to waking up with each day. You are the man I am meant to spend my life with, the one I will have many, many babies with.

I choose you for life. I promise you my deepest love, my fullest devotion, my tenderest care through the pressures of the present, and the uncertainties of the future. I promise to love you, commit to you and support you. I pledge to respect your unique talents, to lend you strength for all of your dreams. You have shown me what true love feels like and for that I thank you.

You have my heart and from this day forward, I give you my life to keep. I love you, Jack.

Brit,
My darling the day we met started us on several paths. For me, the most important path is to spend my life with you. The days this year where we've spent every hour together amounts to many years worth of getting to know each other.

To me, you're everything: the one who best deals with my every mood, the one whose caring spirit is unrivalled, the one I miss when we are apart. You make me laugh, you make me cry, and you make me feel at ease always. Together, we fit. We hide nothing - in fragile times we bear all - you open up to me, as I do to you like no other.

Forevermore I promise you my undivided devotion. Through good times and tough times. I will be by your side to offer all I have, to laugh with you, care for you, comfort you, and to love you with all my heart unreservedly. I love you, and want to spend the rest of my life hand in hand with you.

I give you this ring as a symbol of our marriage and as a token of my love.

I love you, Brit.
